Shri Subhash Chandra Agarwal is an officer of 1994 batch of Indian Revenue Service (IRS). He is presently working as Addl. Director General (ADG), Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and holds additional charge of Development Commissioner, GIFT City - SEZ Gandhinagar. He did his B.Tech & M.Tech from IIT BHU.
The first posting of Shri S C Agarwal was in Northeast as Assistant Commissioner, where he worked in Customs and Central Excise. Then, he worked in DG Systems for several years till promotion as Joint Commissioner.
He worked on deputation in Cabinet Secretariat and Ministry of External Affairs wherein he was also posted abroad on diplomatic assignments. He was posted again in DG Systems on his return from deputation, where he worked in ICES, the customs application. He also worked as Commissioner Customs (Preventive) at Jaipur before being posted as ADG, HRD in CBIC. During posting as Commissioner of Customs (Preventive), Jodhpur, his initiatives in Trade Facilitation was appreciated by trade and stakeholders. During his current posting in DGFT, he is looking after Export Policy, HRD, Trade Facilitation and Systems.
